Host Gator
Host Gator is most likely one of the more popular and larger hosting companies out there on the net. HostGator is where I have hosted a lot of websites over the years and as far as downtime goes with hostgator, well I have not had any. I remember when I was first getting set up on Host Gator I had to move about 100 sites over to my new server there. Moving a website takes a lot of work and time. This is especially true if you are using sql databases because you need to remember all the little hooks and plugs and passwords and tweaks that you originally set up to get all this stuff to work properly. HostGator gave me the tools with their web host manager software that I needed to be able to get this done with ease. Overall my HostGator experience has been nothing but positive and I give them two thumbs up!
